Predoctoral Researcher (MSCA DN Nuclear)
Are you eager to explore how metabolism regulates genome function and cell identity? Within the international NUCLEAR network, you will have the opportunity to grow as an expert of metabolomics, genomics, stem cell biology, and cancer research.
NUCLEAR will train 17 Doctoral candidates (DC) in the emerging field of Metabolic Regulation of Genome Function and Cell Identity, relevant for stem cell biology and cancer. In total, there are 14 beneficiaries and 12 partner organisations.
NUCLEAR is a Marie Sklodowska Curie Action Doctoral Network funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe framework programme.
NUCLEAR will bring together European leaders in the fields of metabolomics, functional genomics, chromatin regulation, stem cell biology, and cancer with innovators in precision nutrition, mass spectrometry technologies, and drug development.
NUCLEAR project aims to develop tools for the detection of metabolism in the nucleus, to understand how metabolism regulates functions of the chromatin template and to test metabolism-chromatin interactions as targetable vulnerabilities in cancer cells.
Before submitting your application, please make sure to check the eligibility criteria and other fellowship details at the NUCLEAR website (nuclear-dn.eu/recruitment).
We welcome applications from DCs of any nationality, gender, culture, religion, sexual orientation or age to undertake a PhD in cancer research, fulfilling the following criteria:
How to apply
A motivation letter (up to 2 pages) outlining your research experience, academic accomplishments, and your interest in NUCLEAR and the specific research project. Important: if the DC is applying to more than one position, a motivation letter for project will be required.
A scanned copy of certified academic records, including grades from examination periods and information/proof that the required degree will be obtained by the time of recruitment if not already awarded.
